Backyard Cooking

Ireland’s first community chef Brian McDermott will once again be cooking live at the event. Following on from his tremendously popular appearance at last year’s show, Brian will be cooking up more mouth watering dishes and encouraging all of us to grow our own food.
He will be demonstrating recipes using fresh local produce and dishing our delicious samples.
“Cooking from your own garden is and should be simple, it’s great when we harvest our own vegetables and herbs from our own gardens – what a rewarding feeling together with a distinctive flavour and improved nutrition. It is what good cooking an eating and gardening is all about!”
- Brian McDermott, Community Chef
